Characters who speak up in one's mind have been dubbed "soulbonds." Some of mine (those that appear on this page, anyway) include Merene, Kieme, and Kreis of Ocean of Dreams, Sailor Suriel, and Ramia of a project I coauthor, "The Crystal." There are more, but I'm too lazy to list all of them.
