Name: George Winston Kame
Physical description: George is about average height for his age, but his hair and eyes make him stick out for his unturtlelike appearance. He has a carapace so dark a green it is nearly black, with mottled patterns of brown and gold on it. His shirt usually covers his light brown plastron.
Attire: George wears a lot of brown and green--turtle colors, to combat his unturtlelike eyes and hair. Due to his shell, his shirts must fasten in the back by ties or buttons in a fashion similar to a halter top. His favorite shoes are a pair of gold-colored boots he received for his eighth birthday.
Character Description: George Winston Kame was named after both his grandfathers. He receives a lot of teasing for his name (which makes him sound like an old man), as well as for his appearance, and the fact that he's not much good at anything involving physical activity. Though he hasn't gotten along well with children his age, he isn't a depressed child.
His parents have always had little time for him, and he was raised by a nanny until he was six years old. At that point, they decided he was too old for a nanny and he was left to fend for himself. Some of his schoolmates are jealous of his freedom, but George often feels lonely. He reads a lot, and something new and different never fails to spark his interest.
When he sees an older talasith doing something that interests him, he immediately wants to learn how to do it himself; however, his interest usually only lasts long enough for him to find something else that he wants to do. Also, he tends to get crushes on beautiful older women at least twice his age, and follows them around, but these crushes tend to last about as long as his sparks of interest in other things. However, he has declared "undying love" for Neko Neko and Kai-Kai-Tou Rakuun, who seem to take his affections pretty well.
George met Kwan because he was fascinated by jewelry work, not because he considered her up to his standards of beauty (something Sparrow finds hilarious). George reminds Kwan of her oldest nephew back in Michad, and she feels somewhat obligated to take care of him. George thinks of her like an older sister; not someone he has a crush on, or gets along with all the time, but a friend. Sparrow doesn't know what he sees in Kwan--she supposes kids just "don't know any better".
