Angimerima was chosen as a child to become one of the Guardians, an elite force that uses their supernatural powers to protect the galaxy from evil and "other bad stuff." After years of training, she receives her first real assignment: protect Earth. Why? From what? Unfortunately, Guardian HQ was a little skimpy on the details; they just gave her a briefing on human culture and sent her packing.

Angimerima's not alone on her mission. There's Kiril, her partner in the assignment, an experienced Guardian with a tragic past; Anna, her human friend and source for information on "normal" human behavior; and Kachi, a cute but useless little...thing.
