Helen: Hello, all of you little creations of my imagination. How's everyone doing today?
Jeremy: Not so good. I'm trapped in a little room with a lazy writer.
Helen: I'm writing now, aren't I?
Merene: Just think of all the laws of chronology and continuity of the story that you are breaking by writing this, Helen.
Helen: Actually, I'd rather not worry about it. Everyone say hello, so people watching knows who's here, okay?
Lainnys: What? People are watching?
Helen: Well, yeah...people are watching just about everything you do in the story.
Lainnys: EVERYTHING? You mean they can see me--
Helen: Okay, okay, not everything. It's not important now, okay, just that this is a public chat. So say hello, okay?
Lainnys: Okay.
Adrin: Hello.
Jeremy: Hey.
Merene: Hello.
Lainnys: Hi.
** Lucine appears **
Lucine: Hello!
Helen: Hey, glad you could make it!
Lainnys: You INVITED her? But she's the villain!
Helen: I'm sorry, but she happens to be my favorite villain. And I just figured out her history today, so now her character has more depth.
Lucine: As if you hadn't loaded me with enough of a past before. Now it's starting to rival Merene's history!
Merene: And that's saying quite a bit...
** Lainnys flips through Helen's outline **
Lainnys: No fair! How come they get the interesting pasts?
Helen: Your past isn't dull, either. There's that whole Raen episode.
Adrin: You must admit that it's pretty interesting, Lainnys.
Helen: You guys have been pretty quiet. What's up in your lives, Adrin, Jeremy?
Jeremy: Well, I went to meet Kaelor, but Helen's too lazy to figure out what happened!
Adrin: I'm just in the home of the sea sprites with the others, no big deal. But then, I have to bear all those secrets of the Ocean...
Helen: Hey, no revealing the secrets of the Ocean!
Adrin: I wasn't going to.
Lainnys: Is anyone else coming?
Helen: I don't think so. Raen hasn't appeared in the story yet, and Falcon's not important enough yet to have much to say. And Kaelor would probably just get into trouble here.
Lainnys: And Lucine won't?
Lucine: Hey, I've been being good lately! It's not much fun, though.
Helen: You're in trouble now, aren't you?
Lucine: But it's not the same...I don't even remember what I did! Where's the fun in that?
Merene whispers to Adrin
Jeremy: Yeah, you decided to resolve your writers block by waiting to deal with those scenes later in flashback. Great.
Helen: It makes for a nice little mystery as to what happened there. I think I have a pretty good idea of what occurred, but I will be able to deal with it better in a flashback.
Adrin whispers to Merene
Lainnys: Hey! Don't you guys know that's very rude? I just know they're talking about me...
Adrin: Sure, Lainnys.
Lainnys: That's another thing, Helen! How come Jeremy and Lucine are always getting thrown together, and Adrin and Merene, but I'm always left out? Adrin and I are engaged!
Helen: Just be patient. You're the youngest of the main characters, and besides, Raen's not dead. He will play a part later on.
Lucine: But I thought that-
** Helen claps a hand over Lucine's mouth. **
Helen: If you keep trying to give away the plotline, I'm going to have to kick you out of the chatroom.
Lainnys: I think you should kick her out anyway. She's far too much trouble.
Lucine: Ha. Admit it, you're jealous!
Helen: Will you two quit it? Even when we're not in the story you two are fighting!
Lucine: You thought you'd be able to keep creations of your own imagination under better control, huh?
Helen: I did think that at one time...
** Helen remembers all of the different ideas for Ocean of Dreams she could have used, but have changed during the writing process **
Helen: For instance, the original idea was for Jeremy to end up with Lainnys. I think that I was leaning towards not letting that happen before I even started writing, though. Too predictable.
Jeremy: Thank goodness.
Lainnys: HEY!!!
Helen: And I wasn't planning for Adrin to have ties to all three of the major female characters, but it was too good an idea to pass up.
Adrin: Heh. Thanks a lot.
Lucine: But Kaelor isn't my father!
Helen: That's what you think. He's hiding quite a bit from you, Lucine.
Merene: So why did you start bringing in all of these new characters all of a sudden? Elysin, then Falcon in the last episode, and now in this one Tallaerie and Ashylan...you've been planning them all along, right?
** Helen blushes **
Helen: Let's see...I knew I needed another villain besides Lucine for a while, so Falcon's been in my mind for a while. Elysin and Tallaerie had a bit of planning behind them as well, but I didn't expect Ashylan to be as important as she is.
Lucine: She's important?
Helen: She will be...somewhat, anyway. She'll be more that a one-episode cameo, at least.
Jeremy: I hope so. Not only did you end that last episode before we even got out of the sea sprites place, I hardly even appeared in it!
Helen: Well, you and Lucine practically ran the last episode, so I wouldn't complain.
Adrin: So, Helen, what can we expect in our futures?
Helen: If I told you, that'd spoil the fun, wouldn't it?
Jeremy: Well, if you're not going to tell us, get back to writing our story! We haven't got all day!
