Queen Aeryll died giving birth to her only child, Princess Lainnys. As a child, she led a rather sheltered existence, her only friend being Raen, three years older than her. She went with him when he decided to take the test of the Ocean, and after that she never saw him again. Even after losing him, she maintained a positive outlook on life, and tried her best to transfer her affections to Adrin.
